Beckham turned 3-years-old last Tuesday! It was the perfect birthday. . . no tears (for him or me-haha). It was as low-key as you can get. There weren't a million people in our house, it didn't matter how the weather was, Scott didn't throw out his back, and I didn't have any hormonal breakdowns. Beckham was just thrilled that he was turning 3 and that all the attention was on him for a change. We started out the day at the grocery store to pick out a cake, then we came home and played outside for a little while. Scott brought home a 'Pie in the Sky' pizza for dinner (no cooking- yay!). . .
Then Beckham opened his gifts. Brooks got him a Buzz Lightyear cell phone. And Mommy and Daddy got him a grill, some new shirts, Beauty and the Beast, and Buzz and Woody pajamas. (He also received several cards and generous gifts from family. Thank you all for making him feel so special on his birthday.)
We finished the day with singing, candles, more candles, and some cake.
On Wednesday, Beckham celebrated his birthday at school. I brought in Rice Krispy Treats, we sang, and he handed out goody-bags to all his friends.
