Happy Valentine's Day

As with every holiday, Beckham's class had a party today. Brooks and I went to join in the festivities and here is what happened. . .
some Lego eating
a little flirting
and delicious cupcake eating (after the chicken nuggets and grapes, of course).
Beckham just HAD to go check himself out in the mirror after he was all done with his cupcake.
Oh, yeah! And some peeing on the potty. I had to take a picture of him by the potty because this is the world's smallest ever!!!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! And thank you for the boys' cards if you sent one- you know who you are :)

"Snow Day" in February

As you can clearly see in the background of these pics, it snowed last Thursday. It barely coated the ground and melted as soon as the sun hit it. Beckham cried when he looked out the window after lunch and saw that 90% of the snow was gone. We still went outside to "play" in it. We were able to make a couple snowballs with what was left in the shadows by the fence. I took advantage of the beautiful sunshine and had a photo op with the boys and their somewhat matching outfits. Brooks is moving up in the world- he now wears size 18 month clothes. Since one outfit was packed away before the other was even worn, I had no idea the boys even had matching outfits!

As I recall with Beckham (and most other babies), little ones aren't too fond of the grass. Brooks, on the other hand, doesn't mind it at all. He crawled right out in the middle of the yard and got himself all kinds of dirty. He's the one who is gonna bring me mud pies, half of which he has already eaten. I just know it!

Bittersweet

Okay, okay. Pittsburgh lost Super Bowl XLV. But before the fun started, we all dressed up in our Steeler's paraphernalia and Beckham serenaded us on the drum. He comes by it honestly :)

A Man of Many Words

This little boy is coming up on 11 months already! He hasn't quite figured out how to walk on his own, but he is almost always on his feet. He baby babbles almost nonstop. This weekend, Scott and I figured out that half of his "babble" is actual words! We knew he could say "mama" and "dada", but he also says "ni-ni" and waves when he goes to bed and "a-da" aka all done when he finishes a snack or meal.

I came home from work Saturday morning and was walking up the stairs to go to bed. The whole way up he was waving, and when I got to the top he said, "ni-ni, mama". Melt my heart!

Future Hairy or QB??

Grandma & Grandpap got this awesome Hairy Dawg get up for Beckham for Christmas. He wanted to sleep in it Friday and was super excited about it!
So the question is: Will he be the Heisman Award winning QB from UGA or the team mascot, Hairy Dawg?

Evidence of Bad Parenting

Scott wanted to know why I was taking this picture. He said it was only proof that we are bad parents :)

Move-A-Thon 2011

So, I found out where Beckham learned to walk on a balance beam! Brooks and I went to cheer him on at his preschool Move-A-Thon last Monday. It is an "event" his school puts on to raise money for their "Spring Fling". The munchkins had to walk the balance beam then crawl through a tunnel and repeat for a max of 4 "laps". Beckham made it 3 before calling it quits. The "teammates" were given pom-poms to cheer their friends on, but mostly they just stared across the room at their parents- haha!

Can't wait for the Spring Fling now! Apparently it is more like a carnival with bounce houses, treats, etc.
