She'll be comin' 'round the mountain...

Mom, Shanna, all the kids, and I went to Alabama for the day on President's Day. We spent the afternoon with Nana Murphy, Aunt Kathie, and Uncle Pete. It was surprisingly relaxing as all 7 kids were so well behaved! On the way there, Beckham asked if we were going over the big, big, big, big mountain every time we turned on a new road. And I mean every time we turned :)

Ollie pointed out the window when we drove by a cemetery and said, "People died there." Beckham says, "Why?" And Ollie looked at him like he was crazy and said, "I don't know!"
We had the opportunity to get some great pics with Nana Murphy while we were there. Love you and hope to see you again soon!

Preschool Party

And what is Valentine's Day without a classroom full of 4-year-olds to celebrate with?

I attempted to get a shot of the boys hugging, but it backfired. They started tumbling/tackling/wrestling...whatever you want to call it (and the classroom "caring hearts tree" almost came down...twice).
"Be mine, Valentine!"

Hope you all had a happy heart day! The boys loved all the notes they got in the mail and loved playing with the cards. Thanks!

I Heart My Boys

Look at these precious mugs!
We went to Snellville to say Happy Valentine's Day to the family on the 12th (and take joy in eating some delicious turkey). The boys had so much fun spending time with their uncles and aunt. They couldn't have been more thrilled that Pap-pap built a fire in the fireplace. Brooks has been talking about it ever since!

Hooty-Hoo!

My sister and I went to Sips N Strokes as belated birthday present from me to her. I let her pick out the picture/day. She chose the funky owl and this is what we got...

Let me just say, this looks absolutely magnificent in my boys' bathroom :)

Happy belated, Shananay!

Super Bowl Sunday

Aunt Amanda came over for Super Bowl Sunday. She played some play-do with the boys, we ate delicious wings, and we attempted to take in some football while two very wound-up boys ran circles around us.
Check out Beckham's busted lip. He tried climbing on the coffee table earlier in the day. The coffee table won!
Aunt Amanda showed her mad skills with a play-do flower. And Brooks tried to make one too :)

P.S. way to go, Giants!

Bowling for Beckham

Beckham got invited to a birthday party at the bowling alley (which he couldn't have been more excited about). Daddy took him and had so much fun showing him how to throw those strikes :)
The coolest part was that they got to bowl in the dark and got glow-in-the-dark necklaces!
Beckham came home afterwards and told me all about bowling and how he "won every time!". So cute :) Happy birthday Bennett and Warren!

Monsters in the Making

My baby Brooks is no longer baby-ish. He is monster-ish. He comes up with some of the funniest things to say and do (which more often than not fall on the naughty list). Some of his favorite things to say right now are "awe, man!", "stop it, Beckham", and "mommy/daddy, where are you?". His newest saying is "what you doin'?". He loves to make his sippy cup squirt (especially when we're in the car- resulting in soaking wet clothes). He loves to "pee on da potty" (which usually means bringing the training potty into the living room and filling it with toys). And when all else fails, out pops the pouty lip. That boy can pout!

And big brother Beckham is just as silly. He is super excited about playing soccer this spring, but until then, occupies his time by harassing his brother. He loves to mimick all of the funny little things Brooks says. And one of his favorite parts of the day is waking the sleeping baby- hooray! Whether it be first thing in the morning or just after nap time, Beckham makes sure that his is the first face Brooks sees...
