Our 'Special' Child

I have to share this only because its not the first time Beckham has come home with a piece of artwork like this. No, I'm not talking about the beautifully pasted cereal on the rainbow. I'm talking about the incredibly talented way our 4-year-old writes his name BACKWARDS! What really cracks me up is that half the letters are actually backwards, too. Like I said, SPECIAL!

Look What I Can Do!

baby steps. . . only baby steps :)

Its Raining, Its Pouring

Who says we can't play in the rain? So my kids don't necessarily have ALL the correct attire, but close enough! They had a blast splashing around.

And they thought it was just too cool to watch the rainwater come out of the gutter.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

On Scott's actual birthday, he played hookie. Brooks and I ran errands all morning while he slept in, then we all went to pick Beckham up and eat a special lunch at Chick-fil-a. We opened presents, blew out candles, and ate apple pie when we got home. The rest of the afternoon was spent watching 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' and dozing in and out on the couch (at least for me ;)).That evening, Mom came up to watch the boys while we went to dinner at Trackside Grill (the intended destination for our anniversary) and went ice skating for a couple hours with all the little college lovebirds. Again with the failure to take a pre-date pic. At least I felt like I was smokin'! And Scottie, well he always looks hot :) So just paint a picture of us in your head however you like.

The Return of Mr. Basket Head

Beckham decided to show Brooks his newly acquired skills at sporting Easter Baskets. ..
Brooks thought it was hilarious and they wouldn't stop giggling :)
(this was supposed to be a pic of Brooks until a certain someone jumped in front of the camera)
Hahahahaha!!!

Preschool Easter Party

After a much needed week of downtime a.k.a. Spring Break, Beckham headed back to school just in time for an Easter party. I was blessed to be one of the "party moms". First things first, the kids went to the playground for an egg hunt. Brooks diligently helped all the bigger kids find the eggs :)
Then we chilled out under the pavilion while we waited for all the moms to get pics taken with their munchkins.
Then back inside for a bunny-styled meal of carrots, a "bunny" ham sandwich, and some fruit.
And what is an Easter party without a visit from the Easter Bunny? (Check out Brooks in the background with his hands over his ears- he was TERRIFIED!)
Then for dessert/craft, the kids got to ice and sprinkle (and of course eat) there own Easter cookie. Yum!

Okay, now Easter is officially over!

Later That Day. . .

We celebrated Scott's 31st birthday with the Parker family.
And indulged in some delicious PUD. Yum!

Double the Bunnies!

The Easter Bunny came Easter morning leaving a nice thank you note for the carrot and baskets full of goodies.
Beckham was so excited! He was standing at the top of the stairs (naked) when I got home from work. He didn't want to let the baskets out of sight while he got dressed :)
He was especially excited about anything Spiderman. Go figure!
Following in his brother's footsteps, Brooks wouldn't put down his new Superman Little Peoples.
After a delicious breakfast prepared by the best Daddy himself, we were off to Grandma and Pap-paps for more Easter fun. The boys dove into their buckets full of candy as soon as we walked in the door.
No, seriously! Buckets FULL of candy! Then we headed outside for an egg hunt. So cute!
<I tried to upload a video here, but I think it was too long :)>
Happy Easter!

Dying for Fun

Scott braved the dying of the eggs on his own this year. Though there aren't many pictures. . .
the boys seemed to have a great time. And look what a beautiful job they did!

A Summer Teaser

The warm weather hit us hard the first week of April. The boys took advantage with a little sprinkler action. . .

followed by some picnicking.

What a way to spend a day! And check out their new swimsuits- they think they are SO cool!

To Seven Years. . .

Scott and I celebrated seven years of marriage on April 2nd. I was more than surprised when I opened the door to a nice lady delivering me flowers :) I should know by now always to expect the unexpected with Mr. Scott Parker!

We had a great time celebrating. Though we weren't able to eat at the restaurant we had planned to (um. . . who closes on Monday nights?), we did enjoy a nice dinner at 0ur favorite Cajun restaurant Henry's and went to the movies to see 'Hunger Games'. I hate that we didn't get a pre-date pick of us, because I felt pretty glamorous.

Happy Anniversary, my darling Scottie-Angel! And may there be infinitely more in our future :)

Happy Birthday, Max!

Scott took the boys to Baby Max's birthday party Saturday. They had so much fun being little pirates.
They got to beat a penata, see lots of friends, and squirt water guns.

And of course, they enjoyed some gift-opening and yummy cake. They each came home with a treasure chest full of booty :)
Happy Birthday, Max! I can't believe its already been a year!!

My Sick Boy

Our house was overrun with illness last week. Brooks was teething with high fevers and Beckham had a cold which ultimately gave him high fevers and a trip to the doctor. I, in the true spirit of motherhood, caught his cold and joined the sick party. We were a rough lot, to say the least :(

Our Little Soccer Knocker

Beckham started soccer last weekend. They have "sessions" instead of practices or games. He wasn't too keen on the idea of not "playing soccer" the entire time, but he still had fun.
And so did Brooks :)

1-2-3-Go Team!

Beckham A.K.A. Peter

Look, Mommy! I made a Spiderman Web!

So many things about Beckham remind me of my nephew Nico. And this is just one more thing to add to the list. When Nico was little, he actually made us call him Peter while he jumped around the room in his Spiderman costume, pretending to swing from his web.

Beckham does exactly the same thing. He has already declared that his next birthday party will be a Spiderman party. Every drawing he does at school (though they appear to be a bunch of scribbled lines) is said to be a drawing of Spiderman, his web, or his web-shooter. I LOVE IT!

Look At Me, Mom!

I'm Mr. Easter Basket Head!
