Ah, memories! I remember every summer with my family, we would pack our blankets and pillows and go to Stone Mountain for the Laser Show. I loved it! It was full of patriotism and ended with a huge display of fireworks (through which I had to cover my ears).
Fast-forward to summer before my Senior year (1998). This awesome guy named Scott had already taken me on one terrific date. We ate at Chili's and saw "Armageddon". But our second date went down on the records as the best date EVER. We went to Frontera and the Laser Show. We shared a bag of Jelly Bellies during the show and waited out the forever long procession out of the park by blasting New Kids On The Block and Vanilla Ice and singing at the top of our lungs.
Now, here we are 13 years later, revisiting the place that our story began with 2 kids in tow. I love that we get to create new memories with our family at such a wonderful place!!

We got to the park a couple hours before the show. The boys had a great time running around and sugaring up. We had pop, dip 'n dots, and watermelon. But they were able to stay awake until the moment we pulled out of the parking lot- haha!

When Mom, Dad, and Brando arrived, Beckham wrapped Uncle Brandon around his finger and talked him in to walking down to the fountain at the base of the mountain.

And finally, darkness appeared and we were able to get on with the show! Beckham stayed curled up with Brando a majority of the time.
And Mom did what Grandma's were born to do- bought her grandbabies sparkly light-up wands.
We had a wonderful time at the "new and improved" Laser Show and can't wait to go again next year :)
