Scottie came home for lunch yesterday to find a chalk message on the sidewalk, homemade coconut cake, and a pile of presents just for him. The best lunch break ever!
Beckham did a fine job of opening the presents for him.
Scott also got to open a couple on his own.
And Beckham softened up enough to give him a big birthday butz.
Then the boys got together to blow out the candles.
Only Beckham got upset because he wanted to do it all by himself :(After lunch, Scott headed back to work for some more MDI fun. But when he got home from work, Grammy was waiting at the house to watch the boys so we could go "out on the town". We tried the Italian restaurant in Acworth that we've been talking about trying for 6 years now, then went to two different movie theaters only to find that a) nothing showed for another hour and b) nothing looked good. So, we put our heads together and ended up at a local pub, Bailey's, to drink some beer and watch the first game of the NHL Playoffs in which the Penguins shut Tampa Bay out. Go Pens! Tell me Scott didn't get the best of both worlds- being out of the house AND watching the Pens win :) Happy Birthday, Scottie Angel.
