Scott and I surprised the boys with a trip to the Georgia Aquarium yesterday. Beckham knew we were going to a surprise place, so when he woke up yesterday morning he rushed to get dressed and asked "Is it tomorrow yet?" I love that boy!
He ran nearly the whole way from the parking garage to the aquarium and was so excited when he figured out where we were :) Both of them were in awe at everything they saw!
I have no idea what this face is, but it cracked me up! Beckham tried petting the starfish and pulled his hand back pretty fast- haha!
They have a pretty cool play area for the kiddos, but the only things our kids were big enough for were the tunnel (which had fish swimming under it- pretty cool) and the whale slide. . .
which Scott attempted and whacked his head on (claiming he had a Sidney Crosby concussion and may need spinal surgery, too).
Brooks loved petting the sea anemones. Beckham thought they were sticky and only touched them once. . . very quickly.
The beluga whales were the most beautiful creatures there.
I climbed through the penguin tunnels with the boys (since Scott was concussed). It was actually pretty cool, because you come out right in the middle of their habitat.
The "under the sea" tunnel was pretty cool. Though, by this point I think the boys were more entertained by the moving walkway than by the fish.
And this is what they resort to when things grow old :) I really think Brooks was just trying to tell us he wanted his diaper changed. The poor guy had a wet diaper so heavy it was hanging to his knees! After a trip to the potty for a diaper change, we relaxed in the 4-D theater for a short movie. It was nice to sit for a minute, and the boys loved the movie (even though it scared Brooks a little).
Right outside the theater was the coolest frog exhibit. Here, Beckham is looking at one of the more giant frogs in the exhibit. He especially liked the little electric blue and green tree frogs.
At about this point, Brooks was begging to get in his stroller. We let them go down the slide a couple more times, then called it a day (passing up the 2:30 dolphin show). Oh, well. Maybe next time. . .
