Happy Birthday, Mom! This year was a monumental birthday for Mary Jo, so we all worked very hard to make it as special as possible. Unfortunately, Sean had to work, but he was still there in spirit. We all met at Amanda's house before dinner and Mom opened her gifts. The best was saved for last. . . a jar full of 50 things we love about her (we being Scott, Amanda, Sean, Brandon, and I). Mom started crying before she even opened the jar, if that tells you anything about how the readings went. Tissues were made readily available for all!
After gifts, we drove over to Stoney River for some delicious food. They even treated Mary Jo to a dessert, though we had a better one waiting back at Amanda's house. . .
Amanda made her famous Carrot Cake for Mom, a favorite of us all. Beckham, of course, had to jump in and help blow out the candles and cut the cake.
And after all the excitement was over? Off to work I go. . .
